Apple’s new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c aren’t even two months old and we have already seen a half-dozen iPhone 6 rumors pop up since their debut. The latest news comes from a Japanese magazine called Mac Fan, which recently issued a report that was picked up on Tuesday by Macotakara. Recent reports suggested that Apple is still toying with a number of different display sizes for its next-generation flagship iPhone, but Mac Fan claims that the iPhone 6′s display is a done deal — the new iPhone will apparently feature a full HD 1080p Retina display that measures 5 inches diagonally. The report also says that Apple’s next-generation iPhone will launch sometime in September 2014, which would certainly make sense considering the company’s recent launch pattern.

NEW DETAILS ON UPCOMING IPHONE 6
A new report from South Korean publication ET News says the iPhone 6, which it calls “iPhone Air,” will be just 6 millimeters thick when it is unveiled later this year, making the handset significantly thinner than its predecessors. Comparatively, the iPhone 5sand iPhone 5 have a 7.6 millimeter profile while the iPhone 5c is thicker, at 8.97 millimeters. The publication says the news comes from Chinese media, but it certainly can’t be verified at this point. The iPhone 6 will still be made of metal, although it will be a bit heavier than previous models, the same source says.
The design of the iPhone 6 will reportedly be based on the iPhone 5s, although the upcoming iOS handset is said to be bigger than the 2013 flagship model. The phone is expected to be unveiled and launched at some point in September.
Recent reports have suggested that this year Apple is going to launch iPhones with bigger displays than the 4-inch screen found in current models. The company is rumored to consider 4.7- to 5.7-inch displays for future generation devices, although that’s also a report that can’t be confirmed at this time.
Interestingly, the same etnews says that the price of the iPhone 5s will go down to $100 at some point in May, presumably in the U.S., for on-contract purchases. Only a few days ago, Best Buy dropped the price of the on-contract iPhone 5s down to $125.

iPHONE 6 TO COME IN TWO SIZES
Foxconn, the folks responsible for the production of Apple's iPhone, have oftentimes been the source of leaks either through actual employees or infiltrators.
According to information coming out of China's Weibo platform, several Foxconn insiders have revealed that production of the new iPhone 6 will be split between two models, one with a 4.7" screen, and a 5.7-incher. There are even hints at the display possibly even crossing the 5.7-inch mark.
It's speculated too that all variants will have at least one form of biometrics, which could include fingerprint or eye recognition.
Granted, the alleged release date is at least 8-9 months away (if Apple continue to follow their Q3 release cycle), meaning that a rumor of such distance turning out accurate is a rather long shot.
Given general market trends, however, it's not completely out of the realm of possibility that Apple would finally embrace the larger screen tendency that's become prevalent in smartphones in 2013. Last years' introduction of the colorfully plastic iPhone 5C proves that Apple isn't afraid to get out of its comfort zone, and moving into the phablet range would be another step in that direction.

iPHONE USERS ARE MORE INTELLIGENT THAN ANDROID USERS ACCORDING TO A SURVEY
According to an online mental agility test, iPhone owners are more intelligent than Android users. Both smartphone consumer bases beat out Blackberry loyalists though, who came third in the survey.
The “Test of Wits was conducted by the British betting company, Ladbrokes. A thousand smartphone users took the multiple choice survey and iPhone users were able to complete the 7 trick questions in the quickest time possible: 94 seconds.
How do you think you will fare? Well here are some examples of the questions asked: “Some months have 30 days, some months have 31 days. How many months have 28 days?”. Some other questions are: “How many 9s are there between 1 and 100?”, and “How many legs do 2 dogs and 2 ducks have in total?”.
This isn’t the first time that smartphone users were pitted against one another. TalkTalk carried out a survey that was designed to take a look into the personalities of iPhone, Android, and Blackberry users. The results just confirmed pre-existing stereotypes.
Apple iPhone users were found to be the most arrogant and vain, ranking their personal appearance higher than others with different smartphones. Blackberry owners were found to earn the most money on average. What trophies did Android users walk away with? The most creative and most likely to get drunk.

NSA CAN TURN ON YOUR IPHONE CAMERA & MIC WITHOUT YOU KNOWING
The National Security Agency (NSA) has apparently able to hack the iPhone since 2008, according to a Der Spiegel interactive report that looks at the NSA’s various tools used for spying purposes. One particularly interesting tool, codenamed “DROPOUTJEEP,” is an implant that was first used to compromise the first-generation iPhone and was able to send various data stored on the phone to the agency, including text messages, address book contacts, geolocation and voicemail. Furthermore, the software could activate the microphone of the iPhone, turn on the camera and take pictures and retrieve cell tower location.
All NSA-iPhone communications would be “covert and encrypted,” meaning that the target would likely be unaware of what’s going on. According to the document obtained by Der Spiegel, “command, control and data exfiltration can occur over SMS messaging or a GPRS data connection.” Furthermore, the initial DROPOUTJEEP would “focus on installing the implant via close access methods” with remote installations to be “pursued for a future release.” The documents presented by the publication do not specify whether following iPhone models were similarly hacked by the agency.
However, the leaked materials show that the NSA had various other mobile-related spying “products” that worked with other smart devices:
- GOPHERSET – an implant for GSM SIM cards to pull phone book, SMS and log files for incoming and outgoing calls
- MONKEYCALENDAR – attack software that forces a SIM card to transmit geolocation data via covert SMS messages
- TOTECHASER – an implant hidden in a satellite phone running Windows CE that transmits data via hidden SMS messages
- TOTEGHOSTLY – an implant that enables full remote control on Windows Mobile phones offering data download and upload capabilities
- PICASSO – modified GSM handsets that collect user data, audio data while also tracking the location of the handset
These are only a few of the NSA’s smart spying programs that can be used to spy on targets. In similar reports, Der Spiegel mentioned a 50-page catalog of such digital tools developed by the NSA, and revealed that the NSA can intercept laptops and other products mid-shipping to install spy malware on them. Furthermore, the NSA can reportedly hack a wireless network from eight miles away.
An image of the document that reportedly describes DROPOUTJEEP follows below.
What Apple has to say about this!!!!!!!!!!
Apple has provided a statement to TechCrunch where it says that it had no knowledge of the NSA’s program targeting iPhones and denies that it provided the agency with a backdoor into iOS. The company also vowed to take further steps to protect its users’ privacy.

HOW APPLE SAVED US FROM THE UGLY QWERTY'S
You in the back old days smartphones weren't quite stylish as they are now.Today's big names in the market are the iPhone 5s,Galaxy S4,HTC One,Lumia 1020,Nexus 5 etc.
In fact, as Business Insider’s Jay Yarrow points out that pretty much every phone released at around the same time as the first iPhone had a boxy, unattractive build highlighted by a tiny, pixel-poor display crowded out by full QWERTY keyboard. Although BlackBerry showed that it was certainly possible to make stylish QWERTY smartphones during its heyday, these devices were the exception and not the rule.
Take a look at the top phones from 6 years ago
While we take touchscreen smartphones for granted today, many within the mobile industry thought at the time that Apple was taking a big risk by not attaching a physical QWERTY keyboard to its flagship device. Most notorious among the skeptics was Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, who famously ridiculed the iPhone as a device that business users would avoid in droves because it lacked a keyboard.
And this is were we say thanks to Apple because if apple hadn't taken that big risk.Who knows wat kind of smartphones we would be having today.Even the Apple haters will have to give a big applause for Apple because what they did changed the entire face of the smartphone industry.
The iPhone didn’t just change consumers’ expectations for what a phone should be able to do but also for how a phone should look. Proud Galaxy S4, HTC One, BlackBerry Z10 and Lumia 1020 owners all have Apple to thank for pushing their favorite companies to make better devices.

ANDROID FIGURES ARE NOTHING WHEN COMPARED TO APPLE'S
Apple doesnt care much about the market share and the reason is given below. Its because of its valuable customers who are ready to spend a couple of $,Thats why Apple doesnt give much importance to developers because they get more revenue from the ordinary users.
One of the big problems with focusing on a broad metric like mobile platform market share is that it ignores some of the more important questions about how these platforms are actually used.
For example, which customers are most valuable in terms of spending money?
According to IBM analytics, over Christmas U.S. iOS users drove 5x the total online sales of U.S. Android users — driving 23 percent of transactions versus 4.6 percent for Android.
On average, iOS users spent $93.94 per order compared to $48.10 for Android users: almost twice the figure. iOS also led the way in terms of overall traffic, with 32.6 percent vs. 14.8 percent for Android.
These figures over a strong counterpoint to the suggestion that Apple is being battered by Google when it comes to mobile operating systems.
While developers will ultimately prioritize whichever platform is most dominant, the not-insignificant matter of who is most likely to spend money is one that is not going to go unnoticed.

BEST SMARTPHONES OF 2013
As 2013 is coming to an end,Its time to declare the best smartphones of 2013 and here I have created a list of some of the best phones released in 2013.I also have created 8 categories and named the best phone in that category. Here are the following Categories.
1.BEST DESIGN
This category was a little easy because one look at HTC One and you will know its the best design you have seen in 2013.Only Apple's 5s gave it a bit competition but 5s isnt much different from the 2012 iphone 5 so there is nothing new going on. The well made aluminium body with the convex back. The 2 Boom-sound speakers on the front producing some of the best sound we have ever heard. So we give away this category to HTC One
2.BEST DISPLAY

1.BEST DESIGN
Competitors:iPhone 5s,HTC One,Xperia Z,Backberry Z10Winner:HTC One

2.BEST DISPLAY
Competitors:Galaxy Note 3,HTC One,iPhone 5s,LG G2.Winner:Galaxy Note 3
This category was a bit tough. There is iPhone's Retina display HTC Ones HD display with unparallel pixel density,LG G2's super contrast. So deciding the winner was a bit tough. But when compared the Galaxy Note 3 display beats them all.Its just not a big display its also the best. The Super AMOLED display with its stunning clarity , the contrast t is also impressive and not exaggerated like Galaxy S4. So Note 3 takes this category
3.BEST ANDROID PHONE
Competitors:Galaxy S4,HTC One,LG G2,Xperia Z1,Nexus 5Winner:Galaxy S4
This was one of the toughest Category. There was tough competition especially from LG G2. When Google announced its latest Android Kitkit running on Nexus 5 it almost gave a fatal blow to Galaxy S4.To make matters worst the Nexus was very cheap compared to S4. Then there is HTC One with its perfect design. Xperia Z1's performance and its camera. But S4 hold its ground and it is the fastest selling Android phone.Samsung has shipped millions of S4 around the world. The plastic finish of the S4 is a big downside but the things packed inside covers up for that loss.So looking at the overall factors like Camera,Performance,Battery life,Sleek Design & Cost.We can say that Galaxy S4 owns this Category.
4.BEST WINDOWS PHONE
Winner:Lumia 1020
This was one of the easy category as there isn't much competition going on.Nokia owns Windows market. So obviously the best flagship from Nokia is the best Windows phone on market. This spot was taken by the Lumia 1020 with its amazing 41Mp camera blows your mind away. But camera isn't the only factory the bright AMOLED display, the poly-carbonate case, the smooth performance adding all these up gives you the Best windows phone of 2013 and thats the Lumia 1020.
5.BEST iOS PHONE
Winner:iPhone 5s
Well its the Obvious choice.iPhone 5s with its outstanding design and performance. The latest iOS 7 and the new Finger print ID gave us an idea about things to come in future as Apple is dead serious on security. The 5s has also improved battery life when compared to other iPhones and it has the best Retina display ever.Simply putting we can say that iPhone 5s is the best iPhone Apple has made till now.The only downside is its heavy price tag.
6.BEST VALUE FOR MONEY.
Competitors:Galaxy S4,Xperia Z,Nexus 5,LG Gr,5cWinner:Nexus 5
This was a little easy choice.Nexus 5 is one of the best phones we have seen in 2013. Eventhough other phones best it at performance test. The Nexus 5 inst very far away with performance scores. The Nexus 5 has a good design and its running smoothly on Android Kitkat. But the big factor is that its at least a 100$ cheaper than rest of the smartphones. So we can say that Nexus 5 deserves this spot.
7.BEST PHABLET
Competitors:Lumia 1520,HTC One Max,Note 3Winner:Note 3
Supersized smartphones are now becoming a trend so its best if we pick the best phablet of the year too.Now there was tough competion from Lumia 1520 & HTC One Max.But Note 3 beats them all with ease. Not everyone likes Note 3 but for that money no other phablet in the world gives that much functionality and it have the best display we have ever seen.We can say with no doubts that Note 3 is the King of Phablets
8.BEST PERFORMANCE
Competitors:Galaxy S4,HTC One,Note 3,iPhone 5sWinner:iPhone 5s
The category everyone has been waiting for.I am sure Android fans wont be happy with the decision and probably will think i am a Apple boy.But let me tell you something i own a Galaxy S4 and know how good Android is and the decision is unbiased.Everyone believes how a dual core 1.3GHz 5s can compete with Android phones with Quad-core & Octa-core cloacked at over 2GHz but let me tell you its not all about numbers. Here is the reason
As Extensive testing performed by well respected device reviewer Anand Lal Shimpi revealed that 5s doesnt just keep up with Android phones when it comes to performance it slaughters them.A lot of factors contribute to this outstanding performance.Among them are the optimizations in iOS and the overly criticized Retina display of Apple. Its true that Retina display packs far fewer pixels than the Full HD screens of Android phones. But iPhones display is still among the best there and with fewer pixels spread across a smaller 4 inch panel means it takes less oomph to power them and it also has an impressive pixel density of 326 ppi.
Now the other big factor in play is the new iOS 7.With the new iOS 7 update there are some bugs on the iPhone than ever before. Each new update trims these bugs and when it comes to app performance and user experience Apple is in a level of its own with no rivals to compare. So far the only downsides of Apple iPhones i have seen is the restrictions imposed by Apple but these restrictions are all meant for improving security. The big set back is the enormous price tag of the iPhones. But looking overall iPhone is one awesome device.

iWATCH MAY LAUNCH IN OCTOBER 2014
Now there is a tough competition going on about wearables, and Samsung is wining it with its Samsung Gear. The iWatch rumor mill has grown suspiciously quiet over the past month, but the latest report might be the most exciting and substantial yet. According to C Technology, inside sources say that Apple’s smartwatch will be revealed alongside the next iPhone in October 2014. The report also states that Apple is making solid progress with its wearable prototypes, which currently feature 100 mAh batteries and the ability to charge wirelessly from up to one meter away from the charging station. As C Technology points out, the battery seems oddly small in its current state, especially considering the 315 mAh battery in the Galaxy Gear. Of course, this is only a prototype, and the battery will likely see an increase in size in the final model. That said, despite the larger battery of the Galaxy Gear, plugging the Gear into its charging cradle is a nightmare, so the wireless charging capabilities of the iWatch will be a welcome change

APPLE'S TRYING TO INTEGREATE ITSELF INTO OUR EVERY DAY LIFE
Apple’s big push to integrate itself even further into your daily life might be right around the corner. When the latest iOS 7.1 beta was sent to developers on Friday, 9to5Macnoticed an interesting inclusion to the Restrictions Settings menu: a toggle for Car Display. Apple originally announced iOS in the Car quite a while ago, but it was not ready for the initial release of iOS 7, and so it was pushed back for a future update.
“iOS in the Car seamlessly integrates your iOS device — and the iOS experience — with your in-dash system,” according to the description on Apple’s website. “Now you can easily and safely make phone calls, access your music, send and receive messages, get directions, and more.”
Although there are no assurances that iOS in the Car will be finished in time for iOS 7.1, the evidence from the beta release speaks for itself.

We already know that Cut the Rope 2 will debut on December 19 on the iOS platfrom with the Android version following suit early next year.
But now Zeptolab has launched a trailer for the upcoming title which shows some new characters, gameplay and is quite entertaining to watch. We can’t wait for the game to hit – it will cost $0.99 for iPhone and we’re guessing will be either free with ads or the same price on Android smartphones when it drops.

APPLE'S SMARTPHONE TRADEIN PROGRAM FOR 4S & 5C
Well, according to the Times of India, the program has started already.
If you want to get a discount of Rs 13000 ($208) or more on your iPhone 5C or iPhone 4S purchase, you should bring one of the smartphones eligible for trade-in. These are:
- iPhone 4
- BlackBerry Z10, Q10
- Nokia Lumia 925
- HTC One, One Mini, Desire 500, Desire 600
- Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, Note 3, Note 2, S4 Mini, Mega 6.3, Mega 5.8
- Sony Xperia Z1, Z, Z Ultra, ZR and C
Rs 13K is the minimum discount you can expect if you exchange iPhone 4 for 4S or 5C. Newer phones can fetch even more, with discounted iPhone 5C prices starting at 28.9K Rs ($463), and 4S going for 18.5K rupee ($296).
According to industry sources, Apple tripled its sales in India when it offered Rs 7000 ($112) cashbacks on select smartphones for iPhone 4, earlier this year. So it is happy to do it again with the poorly selling iPhone 5C.
The trade-in program was agreed in Apple’s meeting with Indian retailers last week. Other iPhone sales promotion initiatives were discussed too. One of them included a try and buy program, where customer can take Apple’s device home for a few days without paying for it. Full price of the handset will be reserved on a client’s credit card to make sure he returns or pays for the iPhone. No decision on this program has been reached yet.

APPLE IS TESTING IPHONE 6 WHICH IS REPORTED TO HAVE A 4.9" SCREEN
The rumors about the big screen iPhones Apple is planning to release next year, have been flying around even before iPhone 5S/C was officially announced. And they came not only from Apple or technology blogs, but were confirmed by old school news publications like WSJ andBloomberg.
Now Chinese site C Technology, which has been pretty good at this, claims to have received an insider tip that Apple is testing iPhone prototype with 4.9” display. According to Ctech, both iPhone 5S and 5C will get a display size bumps next year, though they are not sure how big the screen of C line will be.
While there are a few tens of an inch variations between reports of Bloomberg, WSJ and Ctech, by now it is pretty certain that iPhone displays are getting much bigger next year. With all of its rival competitors having screen size of 5" its time upped its screen size too.

FACEBOOK MESSENGER GETS A TOTAL MAKEOVER
Facebook has released an update to the Facebook Messenger app for iOS and Android that brings with it a complete overhaul of the UI. The design clearly looks like it was made for the new iOS 7 but carries over to the Android version as well.
At launch you’ll notice that the older dull gray and Facebook blue colors have been replaced by bright white and a brilliant blue combination. There are no more gradients and drop shadows anymore and the UI has a clean, flat UI that is consistent with the rest of iOS 7.
The new app makes it easy to see who is online and who isn’t. It also lets you send messages to people who are not on Facebook over SMS but you will have to sync your contacts with the app for them to appear in your list. Most of the other features remain the same.
The new design is available on both iOS and Android and even though it is optimized for iOS 7 it still looks great on Android. I’m hoping the main Facebook app also gets this updated UI shortly as it is long overdue. You can download the Facebook Messenger update from the links below.
