The HTC One V is a smartphone designed and manufactured by HTC as part of theHTC ONE series which runs Android 4.0.3 with an HTC Sense 4.0 overlay. This phone is constructed from an aluminum unibody. Its design resembles the HTC Legend released in 2010. It features a 5 megapixel camera, 3.7 inch touchscreen (480×800 resolution), 512 MB RAM, a 1 GHz processor, and Beats audio. Officially announced by HTC on 26 February 2012, the HTC One V was released on 26 April 2012 in the UK.

REQUIREMENTS
1) USB  cable
2) Unlocked Boot Loader 
     Click here
     Register yourself with HTC and login
     In the "select your device" field ,select All other supported devices.
     Press Begin Unlock Bootloader.
     Press Yes.
     Now follow the step shown on screen.Its simple and straight forward.
     
3) Necessary Files 
PROCEDURE
1. Download  r1-primo-superboot.zip to your computer and extract it to desktop.
3. Replace the boot.superboot.img in the folder that you extracted just now (r1-primo-superboot).
    Or download one of the Superboot that relevant to your device HERE
4. Power off your phone by holding the power button down for 5-7 seconds (the three keys will flash a 
    few times then it will power off)     
5. Hold volume down button, the device will boot to HBOOT
6. Select Fastboot With Volume+or- then press Power once (you'll be in fastboot mode)
7. Connect your phone to PC
8. Double click ‘install-superboot-windows.bat’

Once it complete, the phone will reboot on its own. In app drawer you will see a SuperSU icon, click on it and update SU binary then you are done with rooting your Htc One V.
